Ruuben

Ruuben, born Robert Laukkanen, is a producer from Jyväskylä who has become a respected figure within Finland’s urban music scene. As well as being a member of the Helsinki-based producer collective Fountain Productions, he is also widely recognized as the in-house producer behind Jyväskylä’s influential KPC collective. For years already Ruuben has been expanding his networks internationally, working extensively in both the United States and London. His international production catalog includes collaborations with urban music heavyweights such as Burna Boy, AJ Tracey, and Sleepy Hallow. Through Burna Boy’s projects alone, Ruuben has earned four Grammy nominations, further solidifying his reputation as a world-class producer. In Finland, Ruuben has played a key role in shaping the sound of Gettomasa, while his production work can also be heard on hit records by some of Finland’s biggest artists, including JVG, Lauri Haav, and Elastinen. In 2022, he was nominated for Producer of the Year at the Emma Gala.
